HBO will be airing the WBC Welterweight Championship between Victor Ortiz and Floyd Mayweather live on the 17th of September 2011. The match will take place at the fantastic MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you are unable to attend the actual event and can’t visit one of the many sports bars that will offer the match live, and if you are also not allowed to watch it at home, you will be happy to know that you will be able to watch the big fight online! HBO offer applications so you are able to watch the match on your iPhone or on an Android phone, or you can watch it on your PC or laptop of course.
The main thing to remember when you are watching the match live through an internet connection is that you need to be able to stream at a good speed (at the very least 2Mb), meaning that you should have a connection that is not used by many other people, as this will slow your internet down.
The other thing is that many internet providers limit your downloads, so you should make sure you do not go over your download limit as this could either be very costly, or you could find yourself cut off in the middle of the match. Certain internet providers specialise in heavy downloading, so you may want to look in to them.
The main thing, though, is that you are able to watch the match even if you are on the road, so long as you have a device that will offer you a good, speedy internet connection.
